Mick Burn
Mick burns, the legendary left handed drummer, started playing at a very young age and was in the pub scene way before he was legally allowed.
Playing with monster bands such as Matt Taylor and Chain, Mick cut his teeth with the finest musicians of the time.
Michael
Michael was born in
Perth in August 1982, and at a very young age learned to play the
violin, eventually moving on to the electric bass, then to guitar.
In his early teens he bought his first keyboard, and has been
fortunate enough to be able to pursue a career playing, teaching,
writing, arranging and producing music.
Christian
Christian was born on 2 September 1966 in Madagascar and lived his early years in France . He commenced performing in a professional band when he was just 11 years old and at 16 he left school to follow his love of live music and he hasn’t stopped since.
In France , Christian was part of the big orchestra of Monte Carlo before moving into an original band supporting TOTO on their national tour.
Christian then went off to England and performed in bands with artists such as Boy George and Keith Arey (Tom Jones guitar player).
Daren
Daren Reid is a fabulous entertainer and a hell of a guy.
He's somewhat of a big deal in Western Australia. You've probably seen his last movie - ha ha.
But seriously, Daren is an energetic performer with natural charisma who can hold a tune. Daren Reid is a dynamic entertainer who likes performing. This hard working frontman performs over 200 shows per year throughout Australia.
Jasmine
Music was in the family for Jasmine, and she has been singing and playing guitar since childhood.
Jasmine threw herself into the Perth live music scene at age 14, working initially with her father and then various bands until joining Daren Reid and the Soul City Groove in 2002.
Jazz enjoys writing music and lyrics, collaborating and featuring on DJ Adrian Sardis’ song “Shy”.
Jasmine has also had the awesome opportunity of supporting The Supremes.
Matt Bartel
The Bartel family has always had a hand in music. Matt’s mother, Carolyn, studied music at the S.A. Conservatorium of Music (classical piano), and his sister, Kate, lectures in music at UCLA.
With these influences it was a natural progression for Matt to become a musician in his own right.
Matt started to play guitar during high school. Following school he studied electronic commerce and marketing, playing guitar on the side. Realising music to be an all consuming passion, he successfully applied to WAAPA
